Everyone wants a gig. How do you cut through the noise and be successful in your Show Pitch?
Below is the Industry Standard of what Promoters expect in your pitch:
Vocals (Assessed in your Show Reel)
Tunefulness, resonance, flexibility, expressiveness, demonstrates Vocal Control (correct range, pitch, timbre, vibrato, volume) and prepared (sings the right lyrics, not reading them off an iPAD, sings the right tune, part and inflection)
Musicianship (Assessed in your Show Reel)
Know your Instrument, Fully Rehearsed, Performs the correct parts, rhythm, key, chords, riffs and solos, delivers an accurate representation of the original song and can sing the correct vocal harmonies.

Verse and Chorus of 3-4 of your best songs in a video
Spotify Playlist
Add the Original Artists for all the songs that you cover in your show. Why? This is the industry standard for clients to be able to easily review your show repertoire offer. Songlists as docs or PDFS are no longer accepted.

Reading the Room
Delivers a show matching the set list, presentation and entertainment activity to the right demographic. Engaging the crowd in a two way conversation. Research the room and the room patrons. Deliver what they want. It’s all about them.
The Right Mix
Ensure your Playlist is at least 100 Songs. Creating an Event. Shaping the frequency of the night on the dance floor, at the bar with the curation of nuanced set lists leaving room for spontaneity and in the moment surprises thus keeping it fresh. Add new material to your playlist at least once a month. Ignite curiosity and interest in your play list curation and request management.
Your Brand
In your pitch, ensure you can communicate the following:
What is it about you that engages an audience?
What sets you apart from other acts that play similar playlists in similar venues?
What are your Strengths?
Establish your Unique Selling Point and your Point of Difference in the Market and make sure your Pitch reflects both of those.
Curate your look, genre, approach and entertainment style and craft a branded package on and off stage that will attract the maximum attention.
